mig welded up this stand for my drill press. The drill press was too low on the ground and too high on the table, so I built this stand. It sits just right on the ground now. Long pcs. can rest on the table with drill press next to it. Put a couple of wheels on the back, just tip it back to move it around. My machinist buddy gave me a couple of high quality drill bits---wow!!! what a difference drilling holes with good sharp drill bits !!! I went and bought a few of the more common size bits, they are a little more expensive but well worth the extra money and they last a long time. Not sure if you can sharpen them, but still worth the money....Enjoy the pics....ZZ. Attached Images

Reply:@ JDT you got it right, the same height as the table for long pcs to be drilled. Table also works as a clamp/stop for holding down long pcs. |
