Here is the CL listing http://allentown.craigslist.org/tls/3739260987.html.  I have heard in the past that these were decent/well made units.  I'm a hobbyist doing light fabrication (bodywork), and currently own two 110V units (Millermatic 130 & Lincoln SP100) for lighter gauge work.  I sold my Lincoln SP170T last year and miss the ability of a 220V capable welder. I'm restoring a 1972 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 and will easily find the need forget about.  I've been pricing local/used 220V welders on CL for the last couple of weeks. Anything I thought was worth calling on was either sold or I never got a call back on.  BUT, for some reason a few Airco Dip-Pak 200's have been for sale on CL during my recent searches. Is this some sort of message telling me to buck up for one?  The asking price is defintely not in my ballpark, but I am willing go $550 max.  Just wondering if this may be too much to offer???  It doesn't come with a tank, but I have a 125 CF one I can use.  One plus is the guy is the original owner of the unit.  He claims he only used it for thinner gauge material. Reply:Take your bottle over and weld with it. If every thing works and it welds nice. work your best price. It is an older welder but should be a good one.

Reply:Got it for $500.  I think I could have got it for a little less, but I was happy.  It is in very good shape, and if you saw how clean his shop was you would agree that he knows how to take care of his tools.  He was a foreman at a well known delaership bodyshop and did restoration work as a side gig.  He knew his busienss to say the least. Here's the first piece I welded.  I know the experts will pick it apart, but I was happy with it considering it was my first pass with the unit.  The only thing he replaced was the original mig gun with a Tweeco unit.  He said his black lab chewed right through the original one.
