Reply:WOW!!! That is one heck of a first project."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:Thanks all for the comments! Insaneride, that is a great suggestion I will have to design something. I did  over build  and should have used 1/8in. I used 2" square tube for the legs and 2"x3" rectangle tube for the front apron. For the draw apron i used 2"x3" angle and cut out a slot for the draw. All the steel is 3/16.Very heavy. The finish is just some grinding and a few coats of wax. For the top the slab is made of pine. The dimensions are 29" high 51" long and 20" wide
Reply:Do you know of any good sites for projects like yours because I'm trying to get ideas for this piece making an end table or somethingWill   Supports Autism Awareness                            My ToysBobCat 225 PLusMillermatic 130Miller Spectrum 300 CutmateEverlast Power Tig 185 Micro April is Autism Month .

Reply:what does a wood slab like that cost?  i got about 5 of them in my shop that was handed down to me
Reply:first project? love the dovetails
Reply:Oxy Moron it depends on the type or wood. This is pine I payed $100.00  and the slab was about 90" long and 3' wide. Ninz first metal project! Some of my woodworking experience carried over. I really am starting to like working  with metal but it really is starting to get expensive  buying new tools for metal work.
