Can I TIG with a SA200

So I was wondering. Can I buy a tig torch and use my argon bottle off my mig welder hhok it up DCEN to my Lincoln and TIG steel? Someone told me the other day you cannot tig with a SA200 like this. Just not sure whay you could not simply adjust your current at the SA200 and scratch or touch start. Have your gas control on the tig torch . You would not have a pedal to adjust current, nor pre /  post gas like some machines have.... Just wondering. Reply:I had a pedal wired in series with the rheostat on the face of the sa200.  Put a socket into the sheet metal and a plug with the two terminals on the pedal plug going to the rheostat commected for normal use.  Same pedal as for my dinosaur transformer welder.  It was a gasoline hog and I let someone talk me into selling it to them.  I didn't use it much but it worked quite nicely for my purposes.
