Reply:Wow - and he comments and says he thinks the welds are Pretty good !!!!
Reply:I like how he says a few broke welds are to be expected just as long as it doesn't fall off.I think he needs a bigger welder and a little practice.
Reply:This would be a good "HOW NOT TO DO" video. I can't believe his generation thinks they need to video everything thing they do and post online. Why? Other than to be laughed at, there is no point. He sure does not know anything about welding.Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com

Reply:One thing is for sure. Those clarke welders suck.....I was actually thinking of getting one at one time. Glad I didn't! I think the end result might have been a little better with a stickweld 250 and some 6011s.....even with his experience level.
Reply:Sad, what a waste of rod and electricity . Someone should advise him to weld with eyes open. I don't remembering ever being that bad . He should start with yard art where there is less chance of someone getting hurt.

Reply:Originally Posted by jamesyarbroughI guess he wanted a cheap 120 volt stick welder. All he really needs is a 220 volt AC buzzbox and some 6011s tho. Prolly could have saved some bucks getting one off Craig's list and it might have held together a little better....atleast he would have got some penetration and the 6011 would of had a few less slag inclusions.Heck he might of even been better off with a 120 volt mig....

Reply:I think what bothers me more than the poor welds and failures (at least he will learn when it breaks) is the fact that he never removes the slag. Even if the welds suck chip that crap off dude! On one of his vidoes he pointed the camera at a slag covered weld and said "see I'm getting better" You don't know unless you chip it!
