Reply:I will take tools for trade or a small tig or plasmaI just need to get this out of my way so make an offer
Reply:I used to use the same machine when I was welding pipes. It was great for my root passes.Good luck selling it.
Reply:If anyone lives near him- buy it. I LOVE my STT II, and it is a great welder- I just wish I payed only 1600 when I bought mine. 4x4 extreme and whoever else might be interested- Lincoln now makes a 3 phase Ranger. They say it will power the STT II, It looks like I will buy it just to power my STT II when I move. ( no 3 phase at my new place as well)
Reply:I wish I knew about the 3phase ranger when I bought a new welder. New Price $1200.00 obo
Reply:here are some picsas you can see it is covered in dust i have not used it since december of 05
Reply:Nice machine, good luck with the sale. Wish I had the electric to run it. John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:The new lower price seems like a deal for folks with 3 phase power.WeldingWeb forum--now more sophomoric banter than anything else!
Reply:BumpAny offers ?I am looking for a tig welder around 180-250amps
Reply:What year is the power source and feeder?Any idea on number of hours used? What kind of time frame are you looking to sell in? Chicago's kind of far but may consider.
Reply:I was told the machine was bought in late 1997 but I am the second owner so I cant confirm that. I bought it in 2002 and I have only ran 6 33lb spools of wire through it. I dont have any idea of the hours of use. I dont have a timeframe for saleing it Just who ever comes up with the money first.ThanksJacob Adkins

Reply:I'd love to have it, and will be cruising right through Beckley, WV (where the welder is) this Sunday afternoon on my way to PA from GA. I wish the tig welder I had for trade had ac and would do the job for 4x4 since I don't have the spare cash laying around. Oh well... I'll be thinking about it as I veer off I-77 on to US-19...
Reply:I'll take it. Email me at [email protected] with contact details. Billy

Reply:Can you explain what STT is? I know its surface tension something. My new shop has 3 phase. I am moving "sooner or later"I was just going to get a pulsed spray panel for my invertec V350. DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:David,See http://www.mylincolnelectric.com/Cat...et.aspx?p=2552and http://content.lincolnelectric.com/p...ature/e452.pdfSTT is Surface Tension Transfer, a variation of short-circuit transfer. It apparently controls the voltage/current a little more than plain short-circuit and finesses the transfer. Less spatter, even with straight CO2.
Reply:Awesome deal if you have 3 phase. I was considering calling the power company and asking if I could get wired seperate.John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com |
