Reply:I would say try a local fab or production shop. Maybe they can give/sell you some large chunks before they are picked up for recycling.Patriot Performance AutoLincoln Power Mig 255CLincoln AC-225 StickVictor Journeyman O/AQuincy QT-5 Compressor
Reply:Hey Shane,Where in PA are you located? I'm about 30 mi. east of Pittsburgh and could give you some scrap as I have access to all of the scrap from work and some other places. I do supply our local college welding program about 250lbs a month of steel & alum. in different configurations. If you want, I would be willing to put some aside for you, but you would have to pick it up or pay for shipping. Let me know....DennyComplete Welding/Machine/Fab. Reply:When i used to work for Kaiser Steel, they had a good deal for the welding school at Napa valley college`. They supplied the welding school with new scrap metal, the college welded the heck on it , then when no good , Kaiser picked up the USED (welded) scrap ,traded it for "new "scrap " , then sold the old welded scrap to a local scrap mill.[SIZE="5"Yardbird" |
