Reply:SHORT TRIVIA: } : the Village named after a Portuguese explorer named Ferdinand Magellan. he explore the pacific and became the first one to cross it during his time..unfortunately he was killed in a battle here in the Philippines...and a village here was named after him 50 years ago,,when the committee contacted me to commissioned this public art installation--their original concept in mind is Magellan's bust...but i suggested to them during the meeting that making the Galleon ship he used in travelling here will be better I think than making the head ...( and more easier for me ) all the views and sculpture's angle are better - than just seeing ears on both side and back of the head on its rear....luckily, i convinced them and thats how the "galleon' wins....
