Hello Weldingweb,I am building a welding/fixturing table and I need help deciding on tooling. Originally, I was planning on use the same tooling that the Stronghand Buildpro table uses. However, I heard their tooling is "light-duty" and seeing as I am building my own table, I was wondering if there aren't any any better options for what I am doing. Ideas?
Reply:I just use a plate table. Tack things to it, flap disk the tacks off when done. Otherwise D&T a bunch of holes in it.
Reply:what the heck do you plan on building that requires heavier fixturing tools?
Reply:Look into an acorn table and the tooling used on them. Should be more than sufficient for your needs.Edit: Usually can be found at reasonable price, but transport may be problematic.
