Got another question for yall. I have a 63 lincoln redface with a R-57 vacuum idler, it idles up fine but don't want to idle down sometimes I have to tap it to make it idle down. Now I have a miller with the same redseal engine that runs great with the newer electronic idler on it. My question is can i put the electronic idler on my redface and it work? Looks identical to the replacement one u can buy. I'm thinking it will but rather ask someone that knows for sure before I do it. Preciate all advice I can get.
Reply:Don't know for sure the answer to your question. But it sounds to me like it should work also. Maybe somebody who knows for sure and certain will give you a definate answer, soon.Just wanted to ask, where from in La. you are? Reply:Thanks gizzard it is well appreciated. See that's why I listen and hang with older men i learn a hell of a lot more from them lol. When they pass on they take knowledge with them. They prolly forgot more than we know. Before they lay them down to rest I wish we could get all the knowledge out lol

Reply:Sweet place man im bout 1 min from black bayou the salvania has taken it over tho. Yes gizzardguts helped a lot it's good info to keep for my machine. He was big help. I appreciate the older hands that do help well most will help anyone but i watched and learned if ur cocky or think u know more than them then they won't and will be done with u then younger folks say they are ******* welders lol. I always love to listen and learn from them they can show u shortcuts and tricks that help a lot they been there done that lol.
