I ordered a hypertherm powermax 30 a few days ago and it came today.  That little sucker cuts nice.  I ve been cutting things in my shop for about 2 hours straight.  If its not movin' I cut it (lol).   I checked out the tip when I was done and it still looks like it is in good shape. Reply:You know something Duanne I have been a woodworker since highschool.  I used to frame houses and I have a pretty extensive woodshop in my garage.  But theres something about working with steel that I just can t explain.  I m HOOKED for sure. Reply:Originally Posted by DesertRider33Nothin wrong with that plan.  The Powermax 30 has come down in price and is a great deal for what you get.   The Powermax 45 is more capable than the new Spectrum 625 XTreme and sells at about the same price.   Seems Hypertherm is usually a better deal than Miller, used to be not by much but the gap is widening.
