Wanted: Basic Stick Welding Accessories

Just picked up a Lincoln AC-225 and need the following:-helmet-gloves and apron (?)-electrodes-electrode holder and ground clampWould prefer to buy good used stuff versus new stuff.Thanks,Matt703-350-2380

Reply:Thanks John.  Do I really need a leather apron to stick weld?  I have been on fire before (sparks from cutting steel).  The machine didn't come with the electrode holder and ground clamp.  I was looking at getting one of the Bernard stub-type holders, but really I don't know what I need yet.  Any basic "set" would do for now, I think.
Reply:A TWECO A532 and GC200 would be a good set for you, or anyone else.  If you get the correct amperage, angle and traveland Etc., you shouldn't have that much spatter for leathers, unless you are going to burn rods all day.   JohnSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases.  There all here. :
