I saw these at work. Too irresistible to pass. I will get them for $125 each. They measure 3'x7'x1 1/2", and the scrap yard was only going to give the boss $235/ton. These are estimated to weigh over 1000 lbs ea."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:Table. I love my 12' long 36" wide 1 1/2" thick table with the big vise mounted to it. We beat a lot of stuff straight on that thing and it won't move at all when you work on something in the vise. They also make great targets for your 75mm recoilless... They already even have feet attached! .No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:That scrap rate sounds about right ($0.1175 / pound).  I took 100 pounds last week and got $10 ($0.10 / pound).  Nothing that nice, though.  I vote for the tabletop or the world's most heavy-duty cornhole boards.
Reply:A wood burning heater for your shop. It would stay warm for days, even after the fire went out. But then it might take a whole day to get it hot enough to start warming the shop.
Reply:I'm thinking wood burning boiler!!  But I'm a steamfitters so I guess it's only natural I would.  1 1/2" thick table would be insane. And permanent lol. I wanna buy 1/2" but am to cheap. Can't imagine. What that would run.  How about calling highway department and offer to sell them ditch plates.  Make some money off the bastards who got your tax money.  Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now FreeMiller Bobcat 250Miller Maxstar 140strLongevity 140 migSnapon Muscle Mig/tigHypertherm Powermax 30

Reply:I suggest a GIANT can smasher. I figure roughly 20 cans per square foot, 21 square feet of area, 420+ cans per smash. Of course... an un-disrupted can will support like 200lbs so you'll likely need to drop the plate from some distance. That will add to the excitement. Watch your toes.
Reply:Well I brought the plates to my yard. I hauled all four of them in that little trailer I built............can you say, OVER LOADED!!!!! Yep, and I drove 45 minutes with them. I've never seen that suspension travel that far. And I didn't kill any school children or bus' full of nuns, so bite me safety nazi's!!! It ends up, three at 1 1/2" thick and one at 3/4" (I think. My buddy measured that one)"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:What was the original purpose of those plates?
Reply:Well Bistineau, I will never know. You see, when my boss' lips are moving, he's BS'ing. Literally, he is the worst case of a compulsive liar, I have ever seen. Lets see, they came from a place that had radiation, and they were a curtain type barrier to block the radiation from weldor's while they were welding, and they are definitely clean because he has a real life, actual geiger counter and he already tested them. I kid you not, this is what he said after work, in front of at least ten guys. But what I found strange, when I asked him about, "those 1 1/2" plates in back", he had to walk out there to see what I was referring to. And he looked as shocked to see them as I did at first. They were probably part of some machinery in a factory. I have a couple ideas where they came from, but no proof. They just seem to appear, and then he scraps them. Now I'm not insinuating anything, but I it was weird when he made me tarp them before I left.............."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:If they were possibly around anything radio active, and he is as much of a BS'er as you say, it might not be a bad idea to have them independently tested, just for peace of mind that they are safe to be around. He might not have even turned on his Geiger counter when he "tested" them, he might not have even tried testing them, just told you he did. So, you can tell he's lying when you see his lips moving, huh? Sounds like a lot(ALL) of the politicians in this country, and the ones running for office.
