Pretty simple build . Material is 2x2 square tube 1/8 wall. The rack is 10 long. I see as I look at picture 2 I forgot to cap the ends of the tube. Attached ImagesDave ReberWadsworth Ohio
Reply:Cool ! I hate when I forget something like that. You really never forgot to cap the ends but didn't BUY the caps yet .http://www.homedepot.com/p/First-Ale...0CFA/202074765http://www.pacifictrailers.com/Plast...-steel-tubing/ Maybe these may work .
Reply:Here's a different style to try. I often find these on boat trailers, and find them to have a slight amount of cushion if you bang a head, knee, etc. into one. http://www.mcmaster.com/#9092k62/=omkvjlWho is John Galt?
Reply:Thanks guys. Strange I have looked for caps at my home depot and they could not help me find them.Dave ReberWadsworth Ohio
Reply:Is there anything that stops the balls from rolling off the end?PROUD AMERICAN
Reply:No Fletcher the balls are soft and really don't roll. They weight between 14 and 30 lbs. They sort of "form to the metal".Dave ReberWadsworth Ohio
Reply:Cool build! Can't beat organization and storage ideas. It keeps the gym neat and tidy. Well done!
Reply:Thanks IronmanIts a crossfit gym so space is a big deal. Funny how things grow, last year when I started working out there they kept small weights 5-10lbs in a box. I was annoyed to dig for weights so I made a plate tree to help organize the weights. I dropped it off one day and one of the coach saw me and asked for other crap to build.Dave ReberWadsworth Ohio
Reply:the best place to get caps for those tubes is company called caplugs.
Reply:Thanks Lunkhead, I will look into it.Dave ReberWadsworth Ohio |
