Rock Picker Work

An old Degelman rock picker needed some work, missing some parts, and some of it just plain worn out. As you can see she is worn out and most of the spring brackets are busted off from our fine New England soil.Here is one of the many new spring brackets I fabbed up, and installed.I also built up all of the spots that had worn out preventing the rake to spin freely, as well as where the rake wore in to the hopper support.I had a helper on this job tooDisclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."

Reply:Thanks for the pics .  I had heard of rock pickers but had never seen one .  Out here where my place is in colorado  such things are un-needed and virtually unheard of .
Reply:You get all the fun jobs....I would not use stick on that..Stick is obsolete remember?...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:No kidding!!! Spent many days on a stretch and bend picnic. lol We had huge piles of rocks that were all picked by hand. The only good thing about it was when I built my house I got some off the farm and used them for the outside. Looked good when done.
