Typically I'm not a fan of harbor freight products, but I've been interested in a large radius roll bender for quite some time, and I ran across this the other day: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=99736Does anyone have one? Hows it work? Is it totally chintzy or is it somewhat solid? I'm gonna probably be bending 1.125 sized tubing around .083 wall thicknesses. Any experience with something similar to that with this tool?

Reply:Thats a sweet thread, Thanks! Looks like I'll be picking one of those up not to long from now.
Reply:If anyone can think of an easy way to manage 1" square tubing with it, please post it here.
Reply:Jack I believe you can purchase a set of dies for square off of the harbor freight site. Not sure what sizes they do, but I just seen them on there the other day.edit: here it is: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=66598 but its for 1/2.Shouldn't be to hard to chuck em up in the lathe and size em up a bit since theres no taper or curvature like there is on the round dies.
Reply:They're half-inch, unfortunately, and I don't have a way to machine them.
Reply:it looks good i allso would like to have 1" sqtubing dies
Reply:I am interested in a ring roller that would do up to 1/2" stock and roll 3"- 8" rings. Anybody have a recommendation?Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 12010FtDrillBit.com |
