I love to practice and go outside the box and experiment. I got a job coming up gutting a exhaust system on a new motorcycle. I already separated one half and gonna do the other tomorrow. It's all 1/16th so I always like to be prepared. The point i'm getting at is always practice and always be prepared so not to screw up the actual job. 1/16 filler 50amps and 3/32 tung to a razor point, with a bunch of beer in me too, but only practice Attached ImagesLast edited by weldermike; 06-13-2013 at 08:17 PM.I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys
Reply:Very nice and I totally agree. On a job I've never done, I'd rather practice an hour for a 5min job than fix a mistake Course I get rusty fast since I don't weld much anymore Dave J.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:Thanks Dave! And 10/4 on what you just said. A little trial run always goes a long way. I tell people all the time, you dont wanna take the time to do it right, but youll find the time to do it over! I hate being bi-polar it's awsomeMy Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys

Reply:I gotta special app that alerts me to this kinda stuff. When I come in for a iced tea break, it makes the lights in the house blink on/off very rapidly. Then I know it's time to check out WW to see what kind of stuff is goin on that needs immediate attention"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:@ Weldermike - Pro. Practice does not make perfect, but rather perfect preparations make perfect. Nice work! The beer comment resonates con mi "Discovery is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought" - Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

Reply:Ran one more pass tonight just to tweak it a little more. 1/16 edge weld again. my eyes are still good but this is tiny stuff! Feel free guys to post some of your tiny welds here. I like bulky stuff as well, that's why i'm using such a big filler and tungsten. I would rather work it and pedal it than do neurosurgery. Just me tho!
