I have a trailblazer 250 equiped/ high freq. box.. Want to buy small shop welder for stick/tig. I prefer a dual vol., if not, 115V supplied. I have been watching(ebay) the miller maxstar 150s. What defines the 150s from 150stl..sthl. Does anyone have info about semilar type machines that are more affordable? Any response will be greatly appreaciated.
Reply:The Maxstar 150S is designed mostly just for Stick welding, whereas the STL and STH are designed for GTAW as well, lift-arc-only and HF/pulsing-also respectively. You can download the product brochures and even the manuals for them at www.millerwelds.comI had a Maxstar 140 STR and later the Maxstar 150 STH. They are just too handy not to have, and halved the number of times I needed to fire up the TB301G. |
