I've looked on their site and my ? is are the gold coated lens green when welding I'm looking for a gold that's amber looking in color when welding don't care for the green arc but I've had some cheap lenses the are gold with a reddish gold looking color while welding and really like them. I've read a lot of good reviews of the quality of clarity of the Phillips some I'm fixing to get a new hood and want to order a good lens.
Reply:No, not mine at least it's more of a grayish color, kinda hard to explain deffinately not amber colored like the plastic lenses. The only problem I have found with mine is that it's all I use now.Ranger 250 thick stuffHobart Handler 140 not thick stuffthe pane and oxy setup
Reply:I use the Anchor brand gold lens that's what my LWS carries. They have a nice amber tint to them.

Reply:OmniView and Anchor have been very good. Weldmark has an orange hue on occasion, so we avoid them. Phillips gold glass is my favorite, just plain clear. So clear it is a bit on the brite side. Don't notice if it is green.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
