My auto helmet is old and failing. My employer will pay for a new one. I have used a sellstorm phantom, and a miller pro-hobby. The sellstorm sucks, the miller, OK at best. What is the preferred, speedglass, etc?Miller TrailBlazer 251Miller HF-250-1Miller MaxStar 150 STLHyperTherm PowerMax 380 plasmaLincoln PowerMig 180Millermatic 252Miller Diversion 180

Reply:I have 2 Speedglas helmets and i have found them to be good for many years now.Do a search, this topic was raised not long ago. Everyone seemed to have a varying opinion on which is the best auto helmet.
Reply:Jackson, Speedglas, Optrel, Ferrari, Lamborghini, take your pick. My personal experience has found the Jackson to provide with what I perceive to be the best image quality, convenience in replacement of cover plates, and no ghosting since it uses flat lenses, rather than curved ones.
Reply:my jackson lasted 13 years now i have a miller elitei like it will see if it last as long as the jackson
Reply:I have had my speedglass for sometime now and it does a swell job. Only downfall is the clip to keep the hood in a fixed position doesn't always do its job.
Reply:I asked a guy who I consider the best welder on island what he use's...speedglass ...so I ordered it and really like it
Reply:I love my Miller elite, everything about it does what its meant to and does it well. Plus it's comfortable and light.
Reply:I think the jackson nexgen is the best bang for the buckthe miller elite is close.I have never used a speedglass, so I cant comment.
Reply:The Speedglas 9100X I have has been great, big window, very comfortable headgear. I've also tried a Miller auto and liked that it was lighter albeit with a smaller window
