I am buying a Miller Dynasty 200 DX. I am putting my Maxstar 200 STR up for sale on ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/MILLER-MAXSTAR-2...QQcmdZViewItem. If anyone needs a great little welder this is a great deal. Cyberweld's price is $1582.Jim
Reply:Machine only? Just curious...
Reply:I have a contractor's kit with it but I will need it for the Dynasty 200 DX.Jim
Reply:Ah... Which model kit would one need to work with it?
Reply:A standard contractor's kit works with it. I can probably find you a number if you like. It provides torch, gauges, accessories, foot control, etc. It also provides electrode and ground for arc welding. There is one catch, however. The torch that is provided does not have a gas shutoff which means you have to shut it off at the valve. The kit really should have a shut off on the torch. I bought the kit locally. If I had thought I would have had my dealer swap out a valve torch for the torch that comes with the kit before I used it.Hope this helps.Jim
Reply:Thanks Jim,Just trying to get an idea of total cost for this to be up and running...
Reply:Do you have a Maxstar unit now? Would you be interested in the 200 STR? The kits run around $580 for the foot control, torch, etc. If you bought one locally you could probably get the swap. I am also looking at a Lincoln 275 Tig which means I would not need my contractor kit.Jim
Reply:I do not have a machine for home use at all. Only one at the shop. I have a Miller Syncrowave 350 at the shop. How many hours on the machine?
Reply:I would guess about 10 hours. I did a little tig work. I am presently taking a community college course but have not used it much because I didn't want to confuse myself between machines before I get better at it. Jim |
