HelloI have a problem joining titanium gr.2 pieces on 5356 aluminium (used for galvanizing). I need very good electrical connection. Is there a way to braze these two metals ?Thanks
Reply:A proper swaged or crimped connection is usually a better conductor than soldered or brazed. What shapes are you joining? What type of brazing rod are you using?
Reply:I have Φ12x28mm titanium rod that goes into hole drilled in 20x20x50mm aluminium profile. I tried to join them by screwing titanium inserts into alu (a lot of drilling and tapping), but that method gives poor electrical connection. I didn't try to braze it jet. Titanium oxidation is not a problem. I'll post pictures when I get to my company computer.Last edited by ravselj; 07-10-2013 at 01:46 PM.
