Reply:I'm starting to think we need a sticky on this, because it's a fairly common question.You shouldn't pay more than a few thousand for tuition. Try your local junior or community college first, and stay the L away from anything not accredited by a regional body. There's a lot of scuzzy for-profit colleges that only exist to make their board of directors rich off peoples' student loans, and generally don't provide the quality of education provided by even a junior college.
