Reply:Acetone will take it right off. It won't harm plastic or glass lenses but can be hard on plastic frames as they are not chemical resistant. Reply:Are they glass or poly lenses? I'd probably use clay bar detailer in either case.
Reply:I've done that - if I recall, I used WD-40 and a clean rag since it was sitting right there when I noticed it.Probably safer to bring them to the glasses lady and have her clean it though.Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.

Reply:My glasses place uses acetone to clean my glasses all the time, and that is what I use.Measure with a micrometre, mark with chalk, cut with a torch.Never force anything...just get a bigger hammer.RoyOld Airco buzz box approx 1974Lincoln mig pack 15Lincoln 175 square wave1954 9" south bend lathe
Reply:My glasses place used Pledge furniture polish to clean lens on all the glasses they mfgd. It works great for cleaning most stuff off and leaves a coating that makes it easier to remove anything else that gets on the lens later. I use it it least twice a week and then just use t shirt to clean between times. |
