Well after ten weeks the swimming pool lift guys got some work for me.......Their going after the private residence customers now and have a couple new parts in the works.....these will mount on top of a cement pedestal for above ground pools with high sides...Love the Dynasty with way more power than necessary for 1/2 in. plate....Last edited by B_C; 07-24-2013 at 10:07 PM.  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock

Reply:Nice.I hope they don't spill any chlorine powder on that aluminum... Will they be putting some kind of gasket or coating between the aluminum and the concrete post? I've found (with alum alloy boat skegs) that the lime in concrete will eat into aluminum in a humid/dewy environment.

Reply:Well lets see what do I use on the 1/2 in.......  I think I had it set at 240 amps 100Hrtz.72 Bal.  and the amplitude was 1.2%  1/8 2% Lanthinated  Gas lens 6 and 3/32 4943filler....Oh and 25% Helium Argon....Pulse the pedal.....  Miller Dynasty 350Twenty Six HammersThree Crow BarsBig Rock

Reply:Great stuff!To keep the warp down you did the best you can do. However if you do allot of these pick up a 1" (or more) thick plate and drill/tap the corners for the bolts. Like you did stick a washer in the middle and bolt the corners down to the plate. I have had GREAT luck strapping everything down to super thick stuff while welding. My favorite is a rail section.
