I had some Swedes from ESAB come into the lab to do some work on one of the tools and the Technicians all work Blaklader pants and shirts provided by ESAB. They seem to be very durable and well made.Opinions?http://www.blaklader.com/us/Two turn tables and a microphone.
Reply:The stuff looks awesome.Have to do some searching around to see how expensive it is..The pants look very durable.Expert Garage Hack....https://www.facebook.com/steven.webber.948

Reply:I have a Blaklader work coat that is about 4 yrs old. At one time Marc work wearhouse carried this line but they said it was too expensive for this area. My own feeling was they discontinued the line about the time we started to realize it worth. I have had and outwore Tuffduck Haughs and others too numerous to mention. The blacklader coat still looks like new with no rips! It is next to Kevlar with style. I would go to the effort to order on line to replace this one. I also just bought a pair of work pants that I assume will perform as well but too early to tell as yet.
Reply:gotta get that kilt. i wonder does it come in fr?i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla
Reply:doc,Are you sure you could pull off the kind of fashion statement that showing up to work in a kilt would make?   Unless it came with the sewn in buttons to make it ready for use with suspenders I'm not sure I could.
Reply:Blaklader pants typically run ~ $80 for the basic setup in our area.  The 1600 black and grey variation a $110ish could be used to weld, and then hit a Pearl Jam concert, and then go out clubbing.  TrickWear.  Ha!  Guessing these are max sized for a waist of 34, knowing the Swedes.Last edited by ManoKai; 01-24-2015 at 03:54 PM."Discovery is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought" - Albert Szent-Gyorgyi

Reply:I know a couple carpenters and cabinetmakers who love the gear, particularly the  shorts for summer.  So many pockets its like wearing a toolbelt.  The stuff isnt Walmart cheap, but its quality.  Depending on style and material pants are around $80 to $190 http://www.wrkwear.com/Blaklader-pants/I have a pair of their kneepads in the knee pockets of some Big Bill brand overalls and they really save the knees. Good stuff. Max size available in some styles is 50" x 32. XXXL in jacketsLast edited by scooby074; 01-24-2015 at 04:16 PM.

Reply:Along with a sweet set of RedWing Pecos, scored a pair of Bladlader Work Pants (dark grey) today from our local boot store.  20% off --> $64.  The pants are heavy-duty cotton with Cordura reinforcement in the knee regions.   To complement the threads, purchased a set of $10 foam inserts for the knees.   Planning to place these pants thru their paces to test their mettle.   The outside *extra* front pockets, stowaable, are a cool feature.  The pants fit like a glove Will post a review of the pants once we get some seat time."Discovery is to see what everybody else has seen, and to think what nobody else has thought" - Albert Szent-Gyorgyi
