Do most welding supply stores sell parts for regulators/flow meters? The store I usally go to, said they have to send the regulators out because of liability reasons. They used to sell parts and install them. I have a Victor HRF 2480 which needs a need seat for the needle valve.

Reply:I went to another welding supply store and they told me the same story, they will not sell internal parts for regulators, I must send them off to rebuild. I guess is because Thermadyne bought out Victor and has scum lawyers telling them this is a liability, or maybe they just want to make more money at the same time, I think they are outsourcing manufacturing to China.
Reply:i was able to get diaphram for my reg. (oxy) from victor/thermadyne thru my local ace hardware. might check with yours vic/therm said they will sell to them but not me so you might check with your local ace hardware, if you have one near byhope this info helps
Reply:Most LWS will not go to the trouble to get torch and regulator parts.I sell repair parts for most makes and models of regulators and torches.I have attached a parts breakdown for the HRF2480. IF you call a LWS with a Victor part number, they will probably order it for you. It is not the liability as much as they are not very motivated to help. Let me know if you can not find a LWS to order the part for you. Hope this helps!Jim Attached ImagesHRF2425, HRF2480.pdf (121.2 KB, 52 views)OAdoctorwww.regulatortorchrepair.com |
