Hi, i have been welding for about three years now but i have never owned more than a cheep welding helmet. i figure its time to invest in a better one. i weld mostly roll cages an have found that the cheep helmets keep flashing me. i don't know if this is because the helmets i have used only have 2 sensors of they are just crap. I mostly do TIG welding. Does anyone have any suggestions for a good helmet for roll cage work? do i need more than 2 sensors for this type of work? oh, and auto darkening is a must for me. i know some guys love the glass shades, but i don't like them. my budget is somewhere between $100 to $170. Thanks!
Reply:They're out of stock right now. However, for the price this is a real good choice.http://www.usaweld.com/Striker-Steal.../90130-csv.htmOut of curiosity, to see if it is better then the CSV, I am close to purchasing a Lincoln Viking 2450 or 2450D.ESAB Migmaster 250 Hobart Ironman 230Multimatic 215TWECO Fabricator 181i & 211iHH125EZ - nice little fluxcore only unitMaxstar 150 STH - very nice

Reply:I know the snap on ones are pretty slim. There has been a bunch of these kinds of threads the last week

Reply:I think it is just the nature of tig and or plasma to do that with the auto dark not the helmet being inexpensive.Sent from my SCH-I545 using TapatalkCRIME SCENES, COURT DATES, FUNERALS, RIDING THROUGH THE CITY WITH A BITCH THAT IS JUST BEAUTIFUL IT'S JUST BUSINESS AS USUAL. |
