Anybody need a 90' span x 125' 14 ton overhead double box girder Bridge Crane.  Got called to look at removing some steel. They've bought a building that was a fabrication business and going to use it for something different. They want to remove the rails and leave the bridge nested at one end. They couldn't find anyone interested in the complete crane. This crane was operating till about 30 days ago. We're going to remove the rails and columns and stack outside. This has to happen in the next 30 days or so before tenant improvements start. It was sold by Canco Cranes,  Vancouver BC.  Not sure what it's worth, but bet it could be had reasonable. If interested let me know and I can put you in touch and could help with logistics if needed. This is located about 50 miles south of Seattle WA

Reply:90'x125' is funny when I think of it compared to my little 26x32 shop.I could put the lift outside, pick up and relocate my shop whenever I wanted Dave J.Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. ~George Bernard Shaw~ Syncro 350Invertec v250-sThermal Arc 161 and 300MM210DialarcTried being normal once, didn't take....I think it was a Tuesday.
Reply:Good reason to add on to the shop.
Reply:Oversized2Thanks for the 'heads-up'. Your info has been forwarded to a NW Crane Broker of long standing.Over the years - I have seen cranes sold for scrap because 'the developers' had no 'interest/understanding' - of their worth.Often: there is so much money in the design/remodel - 'making it new' - that  everything previous is considered junk.Opus
Reply:They just yanked a bunch of those from the local paper mill while doing a tear down of the old buildings.  The bridges were basically a set of parallel beams spaced about 4 feet apart with the carriage running between.  Contractor couldn't sell them as a crane (too old) and the only interest was from scrappers but they were snapped up almost instantly when he advertised them as possibly making the base beams of a true "car" bridge across someone's creek or gully.Sometimes you have to think out of the box and give people an idea of the true value.Or as the Old Mac's Surplus (Kirkland WA) business cards said back in the 70's:"Society of scroungers and snafflers of real keen junk and neat stuff of inestimable value when used for any purpose other than that for which it was originally intended"
Reply:Slap a stamp on it and mail it to me!
Reply:rivited bridge cranes are virtually valueless, scrap metal.   A modern welded crane will always have valueVantage 500's LN-25's, VI-400's, cobramatics, Miller migs, synch 350 LX, Powcon inverters, XMT's, 250 Ton Acurrpress 12' brake, 1/4" 10' Atlantic shear,Koikie plasma table W/ esab plasmas. marvel & hyd-mech saws, pirrana & metal muncher punches.
Reply:It's a welded box girder, don't know how old.  Here are some pics from the other day.

Reply:We have 2 overhead cranes inside the workshop and 2 outside, not sure how we would work without them
