tell me what you guys think of these welds and what is needed to correct them if any corrections are needed. Thanks. tigstainless steel12345
Reply:Picture 1 I'm not sure what is wrong, too cold and not enough argon maybe? Picture 2 is too cold. Pictures 3 and 4 look good. Picture 5 looks good but you need to work on keeping the weld straight. Also looks like it started a little colder and you didn't back off the pedal to keep the weld the same size the length of the joint.Airco Ac/Dc 300 HeliwelderMillerMatic 200 (stolen)Miller Maxstar 150STLMiller AEAD200LE (welding and generating power) Hobart MIG

Reply:1 is uniform, that's always good lol. 2 looks cold, on 5... are those tack welds that never fused? 3 & 4 are nice though, but not the same person.
Reply:My first thought was two different people too. But maybe if this guy only ever practiced pipe lap joints or whatever type joint number three is(i would like to know the correct term if someone knows). When i first started i learned to make pretty nice fillet welds but my butt weld looked like butt. I need a lot more practice.2 invision 456 mp, 456 pheonix, 3 hypertherm 1250, Hypertherm 45,Dynasty 200dx, Millermatic 210 w/ spoolgun, Bobcat 250, 12vs extreme, slugger dry cut saw, slugger mag drill, O/A rig, Piles of tools |
