I see a lot of the commercially available welding carts have it so your welder is mounted at an uphill slant. Why is this?I plan on building my own cart and am curious about the angled mount. Thanks

Reply:I angled mine so I wouldn't be tempted to leave my beer on top of the welder... spilled beer and high voltage is No buenoMiller 211Hypertherm PM 451961 Lincoln Idealarc 250HTP 221 True Wisdom only comes from Pain.
Reply:Thanks guys. I'll look at the cart thread to get some ideas.I hadn't thought about the beer issue - guess I'll have to add some cup holders.
Reply:It is also designed to point the mig gun up toward the welding table. Little extra reach out of a short gun with less stress on it supposedly.Multimatic 200Ellis 1800Haberle S225 9" cold sawMM 300; Spoolmate 30A w/ WC-24TB 302GDynasty 280 DX Tigrunner

Reply:Here's one way you can do it.This design would also work for a small MIG welder, you would have to add a place for a cylinder, and move the welder forward slightly tho.Just a thought. Attached ImagesExpert Garage Hack....https://www.facebook.com/steven.webber.948 |
