Hey, Got some pics of oxy/ace welds on 1/16" plate and 1/14" schedule 40 pipe. Both plate and pipe were done flat on the table set into a piece of angle iron for tacking and to keep the pipe stationary. Used a #2 torch tip. 20psi oxy 10psi acetylene on the regulators. R-45 rod. I set my torch pretty hot for the pipe cuz it's pretty thick. Sorry I don't have any pics of the tacking process or the first pass. I tacked the pipe at 12, 3, 6, and 9 O'clock. But not in that order. It was more like 12 then 6 then 3 and finaly 9 so I wouldn't deform or distort my metal. The first pass on the pipe was just using heat without any filler metal going from tack to tack again using a deliberate pattern as not to distort the metal. I should also mention that the pipe was cut with a pipe cutter so there was a very, very slight bevel. The weld on the right was my first ever pipe weld with OA. Could have used more filler.Different angle of above welds.Same welds againCritique if ya want. Thanks for lookingEastwood TIG 200NAPA 83-315 MIG
