Reply:I've seen some old airco type tigs on craigslist & ebay for that ballpark. I spent about a year looking and saw maybe 5 machines.
Reply:I got my Syncrowave 500 for $600 a few months ago, more than enough for what I need. Keep an eye out locally on craigslist (that's where I found mine) and at military/government auctions. Mine was originally on a submarine at the Groton, CT base.Tom DownesWicked Innovation1979 Syncrowave 500

Reply:You don't say on your profile where you are located, but at my parents place in MN I've got a Linde UCC-305 welding rig, weldcraft 250A water cooled torch, homemade chiller w/procon pump, esab pedal, C&K worldwide thumb control that I'd let go for $500. You'll have to supply your own argon bottle, it runs on 220V/single phase and has arc control, AC/DC, high frequency (both continuous and start) and works good. Its a big machine but works good. PM me your email addy and I'll get you some pictures. Right now its located in Delano, MN but I could haul it down here with me to Boone, IA (just north of Des Moines) if that would put it any closer to you. |
