Aluminum boat fix

I know this is a completely stupid question but i have a 12' aluminum flat bottom river boat that I need to mount a couple of seats onto the aluminum benches. I have a wire welder but only have flux core wire on the spool. If I set this to it's lowest setting, could a couple of brackets be welded onto the bench seats inside the boat to mount my swivel seats onto ?
