Went to eastwood today

They are about 60 miles south of me and I decided to go check it out since I needed a small mig welder.First I have to say, WTF were they thinking this the sh*t location and worlds smallest parking lot. Terrible.Was almost like walking into a harbor freight but they had country music playing. Everything was out of the box and on display which was nice. They had all their welders and plasma cutters displayed all over the place.There was only 3 people that I spoke with, but they were all very nice and professional.  Told him I was looking at the little mig and within 5 minutes of being in the store I was in back welding with it. The back is where they have their classes which is small so I can't imagine the classes are big. They had a car frame with a  motor in it which was cool to look at.Got to test out their new welding helmet too while I was there.This one at $119 http://www.eastwood.com/extra-large-...ng-helmet.htmlPretty nice, rated at 1/1/1/2. Goes as low as a 6 i think, but the knobs inside were so small and the font was even smaller. But I'd rock one if I needed a cheap helmet. Headgear was really nice for a cheap helmet too. Grabbed a little mig 135 and headed out. Decent place, cool guys that work there, but location is junk, parking lot is junk too. Reply:They've got some cool stuff that I wish they were selling on this side of the border as well. A lot of brake line flair kits won't handle stainless but theirs is apparently tough enough, and also is available with an ISO flair kit. It gets pricey compared to the cheap junk, but it is a quality tool and some day I plan to own one. I had a chat with Gene Winfield today at Winnipeg's World of Wheels and he had a tool called a bulls eye dolly that is used for punching out small dents on an open panel. Reply:Opened her up tonight and threw on the .023 wire and ran a few quick beads.This was the 3rd bead I laid down with some random settings I guessed at.Works good, but don't like the gun. Reply:Yes 1/8". Probably would do a little better with some .030 wire, but i'll use what was in the box since i am only using this to make a jig.
