I have this old NCG 180 and was wondering what this "Amps sec. shorted " means ? I'm considering selling this to a friend with only 50 amps at their shop, so I question whether this would work for him. What think ye ? Thanks. Attached Images
Reply:I imagine it's secondary shorted. That is the amps it would draw with the welding leads shorted. With ancient baked and cracked shellac coated windings, that'll be the amps it will draw just before the smoke comes rolling out.
