Hey all,Not sure if this is where to post this, but i ran across this last night searching for Miller pricing on welders. It looks like a sale on current Airgas demo units. Reply:Y a I was trying to get a plasma cutter from them on the 23rd of last month and got screwed around for tooo long....4-3-09 I just had to go to the stere and in 5min. was out the doorthey were trying to get it or a comparable unit being every unit I wanted they ran out of then offered me a unit that would of only been 15.00 cheaper than the local store, there are some good deals IF YOU CAN GET THEM but add shipping and tax which the local guy knocked off plus 15.00 discount 1000.00 out the door for a Powermax 30 so the air gas deals are not not such a good deal after all. and you can build a relationship with the local guys and benifit down the road.and the Hypertherm rep said the warranty is not full on the reduced price units,They advertise under warranty but don't tell you it's not a full warranty on those unitsthat's what I found out.....my 2 centsLincoln 225 Tombstone,Miller Big 20,Hobart 180,150' Argon,A/D hobart hood 22 Ton Log splitter,79 F350 dump eats 4.75 TONS and still turns cutters,grinders,And a Hypertherm POWERMAX 30
Reply:I tried for 4 days to find someone who could tell me some details about a Miller 200DX that they had on the web site as "floor models and out-of-box" with a selling price of $2,812. Finally got to a woman who acted like I was bothering her when I asked if it was the newer model with the four waveforms built in. "Actually, no" is what she said. So a brand new power source with square wave technology sells in the store for $2,875. I could have just entered my credt card number online and recieved old technology for the same price as new techology in the store.
