Reply:Try the simple stuff first. Replace the contact tip, check that the drive roll pressure is set correctly(more is not better),is the spool spindle tension correct. If those check out ok pull the liner from the gun to see if it is kinked or dirty, pretty ceap and easy to replace.
Reply:I have had trouble like this that turned out to be rusty wire. This can happen if it's humid in the shop (or outside), and is only barely visible.XMT 350 MPA Dynasty 280DXSuitcase 8RC / OptimaSpoolmatic 30AThermco Ar / C02 mixerAssorted O/A gear

Reply:I've had a similar problem, caused from the wire spool "stuttering" while turning. The paper label on the interior end of the spool was uneven, and rubbing unevenly against the housing. I solved it by tearing the label off and placing a large, thin plastic washer between the housing and the spool. Since I wind my own small spools, I don't have the label issue anymore.Last edited by Weldordie; 11-11-2013 at 02:01 AM. |
