Neighbor has a broken pelvis (smashed between 2 cars).  Anyway, someone years ago posted a thread in here with a removable stand that basically wrapped around their toilet and provide a couple of bars for standing up and sitting down (no anchoring required).  I thought the thread had a title like "embarrassing necessity" or "unwanted necessity", but I can't seem to find it.  Any help would be appreciated.  Perhaps the thread creator will see this and point me to it, or someone will remember it and some of the key words necessary to find it.The Lord has declared, "This is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man"  Moses 1:39Link: My name is John, and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.-- ColdCreekWorks.com --
Reply:Never mind, it was entitled "unwanted creativity"  Thread can be found here:http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ted-creativityThe Lord has declared, "This is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man"  Moses 1:39Link: My name is John, and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.-- ColdCreekWorks.com --

Reply:Ya, their driveway is on a slope, she parked a dodge truck at the top (it was sleeting earlier).  About 1.5 hours later she came out to go out with a friend, who was parked at the bottom of the driveway.  As she was about to get in the car at the bottom of the driveway the truck at the top broke free (water must have froze), and it slid down the driveway and slammed into her and the other vehicle.  She did have the door open on the other vehicle and was part way in when it hit, otherwise it could have been much worse. The Lord has declared, "This is my work and my glory--to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man"  Moses 1:39Link: My name is John, and I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.-- ColdCreekWorks.com --
Reply:I wrote that thread. If I can be of any help, just let me know. Two things to think about, If you build a support for your friend, 1) Make sure it's sized so she can use it easily......For example: The rails shouldn't be too wide making it harder to use. 2) When you get it built, take it out and put is thru it's paces. Try and get it to tip or slip. If you can't make it move, then she probably can't either. "Zero" movement is critical.Good luck,TimmerTim
Reply:Holy shhhht! That's scary! A shattered/broken pelvis is one of the most painful/worst injuries one can sustain; so much work into getting everything to work right again. I hope she heals well!*insert welding gibberish here*                    Mandy
Reply:FWIW, you can buy them on Amazon for like $40.  Cant even draw up the plans for that much, I wouldnt think.  Now it may not be the exact right size or whatever if you buy it, if so, build awayExperience is something you get right after you need it
