sga 100 on a bobcat

i just bought an sga 100 without a contactor,want to spoolgun aluminum,do i need a remote contactor to make it work on my bobcat?  no contactor on my bobcat either...will it work with my thermadyne raider 10000,that's got a 14 pin and a contactor.
Reply:You don't NEED the contactor from what I understand to run a spoolgun off a Bobcat. It does make things a lot easier though. If you don't have the contactor, the gun is always hot. Ending the weld and not burning back to the tip when you stop might be an issue, especially with alum..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
