There are plenty of MIG welders available but none that I've seen work like the SAM. What I liked about my SAM was the ability to adjust on the fly from a knob on the gun. Very handy when you are in a tight space and need to make a adjustment. You could perfectly dial it in while you were running a bead. Mine was damaged in a fire, the Co. no longer exists and I mis it dearly.

Reply:Get an old Lincoln SP250 our 255. They have a switch on the handle you can use to adjust either Wire speed, Voltage or swap between 2 saved programs on the fly. I had one for several years and is a great welder. Seen them for under $1000 on Craigslist.
