Welding a bearing assembly

I salvaged a tapered roller bearing from the dealer workshop. It was taken from a Mercedes truck rear axle hub.It is a FAG model 33021 (Austrian made). It also has an E 348 stamp on it. Does that refer to its alloy, i.e. stainlesssteel E348 maybe? By the way, are all bearings made of stainless steels?I intend to use it as a base for a lamp I have been working on, but I haven't welded anything stainlessso far. I only have access to a stick machine and I have only ever used E6013 electrodes.
