Long story short I have a C02 cylinder I guess is from Pepsi that came with an older 220 unit I bought. I would like to get it filled with Argon since the fitting is the same as the cylinders I get from Phx Welding. Problem is Phx Welding wont do it for obvious reasons (not theirs). Anyone know of someone who could fill it for me or know of a place to call?Thunderbird Cylinder only does C02 they said, otherwise they would be handling it.Hobart squirt gunAHP AlphaTig 200XCouple angle grindersGood 'Ol fashioned cajones

Reply:Is it a leased cylinder that wasn't returned to Pepsi? It also might have a dip tube to draw liquid which is the last thing you want for welding.

Reply:Sorry haven't responded, yes the fitting is different, it had been some time since I looked at the cylinder. When in tucson the guys at consolidated told me no dice since it was stamped pepsi. Like I said it was a freebie with my old large unit century and now I'm kinda stuck with it.. maybe some target practice in its future.
Reply:Cut the bottom out of it and make it into a wind chime. Takes a big tree to hang it on though... |
