I've got a very small shop so I decided to stack my 2 blue toys up.  The main frame is 1" black sch 40 pipe, some bent and some weld fittings to keep the radius down. The axle mounts were formed from 1x2 x.125 tube and radiused and wrapped with 1/8x 1 flat stock. I extended and re-formed the bend on a 6"IPS unistrut clamp to hold the c25 tank. ( yep, I was a plumber/fitter for 40 yrs)  The paint is a new Ford blue engine paint....pretty close match. Here's the pics... during and after.

Reply:Are those empty wire spools on the side? I'm probably late to the party and you all already know about using them but it's new to me. What a great idea and a nice cart.

Reply:Well it's very clever; very clever.
Reply:That looks a lot like mine.  1" round tube, bent 3" radius, and expanded metal on 3 lower shelves (MM175, plasma, and storage), solid top shelf for holding "shims" (scaps) and other weld stuff.  Main difference is mine is a cantilever design open on 3 sides.  And I really like the repurposed wire spools, wish I had thought of that.

Reply:What did you use for the bending? Very nice!!!GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:Nice cart..
Reply:Very nice cart, useful and good use of re-purposed materials ;-)
Reply:Nice job and congrats on being retired. RETIREMENT is AWESOME !  I have a coupe of small weld ells laying a round but used the HF pipe bender instead. Those THUNDERBOLTS are bullet proof and run well.   I like the unistrut. Just think , the guy that invented that and all the accessories to match would just go buy a cart .
