So I got this really nice 5 X 8 trailer that needs a floor, it had plywood, and I've replaced it twice, so now it's time to break out the 211 and put some metal down. Also what would be a good paint to use, it's just a trailer floor, how about spraying on that Linx pickup bed spray? Thanks all,
Reply:Depends how far apart the cross members are. Here's truck bed that I took the wood off and welded steel on. http://weldingweb.com/vbb/showthread.php...ics&highlight=Post some pics.Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it. Reply:What are you putting in the trailer?
Reply:Cross members are every two feet, the trailer is mostly used to hall Drain rock ( used for land scraping ).
Reply:You could go 1/8 or 3/16
Reply:2 feet is a long way. I would brace it in and go with 1/8"...Just a couple welders, big hammers, grinders, and torches.Work will free you.Men in dirty jeans built this country, while men in clean suits have destroyed it. Trump/Carson 2016-2024
Reply:Ok the plan is to cross brace the trailer so that the frame is basically broken up into 2 foot squares, I called the local metal / scrap yard and they quoted me for a piece of 10 gauge 5' X 8" it would be 187.00. So what do you all think
