Loader buclket remake

I needed a loader bucket to fit skid loader mounts on my utility tractor. My first thought would be to build a new bucket but instead I used an older bucket to a loader we no longer use. I removed the old mounts then cut fitted and spot welded in place the new mounts.It's not fully welded yet. Now is when the duty cycle comes in on the welder. It was really nice no hurry and no one waiting for me to get done. Have a good day.

Reply:Looks like it's coming along nicely. Great you could bring the part inside. I often have to tack it all up and drag it you to the machine to test the fit.

Reply:Did you use that beta mig? I have one and have never had to worry about duty cycle. Mine sure can hum when it's cranked up with .035 in it.
Reply:Yes I did I got it 20 years agao used. I have put two guns on it otherwise no problems. Haven't had trouble with the duty cycle. Seems like .035 runs better than .045 I have run some .045 flux cored but did not like the way it welded. I just this month switched from co2 to a tri mix gas and like it better .
Reply:Nice DEERE ! That quick connect is awesome for sure. I hate knockin the pins out to switch buckets. I keep thinkin about upgrading to front wheel assist. My 2440 is great but 4 wheel drive would really be nice.
Reply:Looks good. Recycling an old bucket is a cost effective alternative I have used myself quite often. Working around the duty cycle of the welder can be frustrating but it does cut down on heat warp at times.
