Reply:Yep when I looked at all 51 of the pics they had I was surprised to see that everything looked BRAND NEW. If anyone here is the lucky winner plan to pick it up the 1st day that they say you can! Reply:Geez, thats one heck of a nice start.  Hell that would be nice for a second rig.  They could just pick it up and set it on a flat bed would be easiest, and not worry bout the hitch or brakes til ya got it back to a warmer climate.  Pretty awesome find.

Reply:If it hooks on a older 6x6 the brakes even on those trucks are air over hydraulic they aren't locked up without air unless this trailer is different.  It is probably like one of our flat beds for a 6x6 and has air over hydraulic on trailer brakes with separate hydraulic reservoirs built on the trailer frame the hydraulics are actuated by a air actuator.
Reply:I don't think that gear was even used.  That trailer is one heavy pig, though. You're gonna need a big truck. Reply:I live near Oak Ridge and the gov. sales from there are very mixed. Sometimes a great deal and sometimes not. Reply:Up to $4700 already....hehe maybe I should bump it past 5k for the heck of it. My guess it'll go for around 10k. as for towing, I could easily tow it with my 4Runner and backing off the brakes on the trailer is easy to do. Reply:Going to actually look before bidding is a very good idea and asking questions of what else is in the lot.  One time I was going to bid on a lot at a air base near here and then decided to go look first but didn't bid after I found out 3 semi loads of wood electric poles went with the lot and I would be responsible for transporting those out also if got the lot bought in X amount of time or be charged later for them hauling those out.

Reply:I've been going back and forth on whether or not to make a use jump and bid on this! its at 9000, but for all of the equiptment that is there it is a steal! problems: shipping average around 3000 to so cal. pintle hitch ok, but you need air to release the brakes on the trailer unless you could bypass it. Man I have looked at this thing about a hundred times....
Reply:I just recently did a 5400lb tow from Monterey and it went quite easy. The brakes are easy to bypass, so towing wouldn't be an issue, but looking at the route you'd have to take and that it's winter time, it would be better simply to ship it back. Reply:I don't think it's any bargain for most.How much is the machine new? Maybe 6-7 grand?The miller extras that you would actually buy? Maybe 2-3 grand?That's new price, if you forage for used it changes everything.The other extras are all cheap stuff, that you probably wouldn't buy anyway, maybe worth a few hundred bucks at most.The trailers routinely sell as surplus for under a grand.It's worth something to be all together and ready to use.The ride home is different for everyone.But why reach so far to gamble "as-is" unless you're going to save (make) real money?Maybe; if it's near you, and you've inspected it and  have a money-making job for it in the immediate future - maybe. But it could be blown-up too!That's my take. What do you think?Good Luck
Reply:I see it all the time with auctions. Guys start bidding while its a great deal, and just don't stop. That need to beat that other guy just takes over. I've seen used POS tools sell for more than new. I've seen multiple lots of identical things sell at widely different prices in the same auction. OK I can see the fist one go for $150, then the next sell at $125 and so on, but I've also seen the next two sell for over $160 for no reason other than several guys wanted one, but didn't want to miss out on the "deal" and the last 2 go at less than $70. 20' of heavy 1/2" chain with hooks is the same as the next lot for the most part.I'll look, figure out what new would cost, then pick a number that seems fair for a used item in that condition, and then figure I'll go no more than X over that. Once it tops that price, I'm out..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:Well that was one sweet set up. It had everything any one could have wanted in a welding rig  even down to the band aids in the first aid kit. Reply:I realize that alot of the stuff looked new and unused however looking at the auction site at the bottom it lists item condition and it is labled as F7 which means "economically repairable material" Question then is what's wrong with it and what needs to be repaired. Reply:I work in my units S&R shop and this is the same welding trailor that we use. It has the new digital welder on it. If it comes with everything in it. it's a good trailor to get.
