Reply:Hi Tom,I was going to post on your Ranger-8 thread, then I saw this thread.I know that Onan is no longer in the business of selling or servicing small engines, but I think there are parts still available. I would do some Internet searching, or try the local phone book for a place that sells parts for Onan engines.I have been told that the service for the Onan side valve engines, like the P-216, is now being handled by Cummins, so you may try contacting them. They should be able to correctly identify the part you need.Good luck,Bob
Reply:Here in Kalifornia there is a Cummins branch called "Cummins West" that does all our gen sets. Several date as far back as the late 60's early 70's, all Onans. They either rustle up replacement parts, rustle up compatible parts or give you the bad news. Here's a link. There is a "change region" button. Be worth a phone call anyways.http://www.cummins.com/cmi/content.j...menuIndex=none
Reply:I always see used ones on epay. Good source of Onan parts sometimes.
Reply:Thank you all...Tom |
