Hi everyone and first of all thanks for showing interest. I am looking to see if anyone has the watt rating and or resistance rating for an old lincoln tig 300 with a 5 pin amphenol connector i am trying to rig something up a hand and foot pedal. Also trying to play around with a pressure sensitive button for a hand control i think that would be wicked. Any feedback would be great. Again thx Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkUsing Tapatalk
Reply:Long as you have the 5 pin plug and a control pcb. Any standard Lincoln style remote will work.Just change the plug. If you are making you own remote a 2 watt 5K ohm should work. The Tig 300/300 to watch out for has two plugs a two and a 3 pin . That uses a high wattage rheostat. The full reactor control current goes through that control.Your machine only controls a pcb and the pcb and power module control the reactor.

Reply:If you wish to just purchase a new pedal that is high quality check these folks out, they make new units for about every old trans/rectifier machine. http://www.ssccontrols.com/TIGchart.htm I got one from them for one of my old Hobarts and it works great, built well. If ya want a backup machine a friend of mine has a 300/300 for sale that I sold him years back. It is in great shape and welds fine except the HF went out ...needs a new capacitor behind the HF transformer.Last edited by tommyjoking; 02-06-2014 at 09:49 PM.
