Got tired of always having to climb in the back and dig around (ice chests are always buried on the bottom) for stuff to eat and drink on long road trips to the water, leaving next month for the Sea of Cortez so I made this shelf to hold the cooler and other important stuff I need to get to. Also frees up floor space for sleeping. 1 length of 2x2 angle and the rest is leftovers. Made the height just right to be able to open the cooler, and low enough that it cannot hit the window when closed.Miller Challenger 172Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC 225/150Miller Maxstar 150 STLVictor 100CVictor JourneymanOxweld OAHarris O/ASmith O/A little torchNo, that's not my car.

Reply:Not bad. The lower section on my L shaped transfer tank does about the same thing for me. It's made accessing the forward part of the bed thru the windows on the cap much more useful..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Great idea and great build. There's extra space, cooler and other stuff is not at the bottom which makes them more accessible. |
